Important clarifications about who we are, what we do, what we do not do, and the honest limits of our services. Please read carefully.

Last updated: 15 May 2026 · v1.0

SettleKaro is NOT:

a bank · an NBFC · an Asset Reconstruction Company (ARC) · an RBI-regulated entity · a law firm · a moneylender · a recovery agency · a credit bureau.

1. What we are

SettleKaro Private Limited (CIN: U70200UP2026PTC247774) is a private limited debt resolution service registered in India. We help individual borrowers understand their rights, negotiate with lenders, and resolve unsecured personal debts transparently.

2. We do not lend money

SettleKaro does not provide loans of any kind. We do not offer personal loans, top-ups, refinancing, balance transfers, or any other form of credit. If any individual or entity claiming to be from SettleKaro offers you a loan, it is a scam — please report it immediately to grievance@settlekaro.in.

3. We are not a law firm

SettleKaro is not a law firm and does not practice law within the meaning of the Advocates Act, 1961. We do not provide legal advice or courtroom representation. Where your case requires formal legal services, you will need to engage a qualified advocate directly under their own terms and fees. We will tell you, on the free consultation call, when your situation requires legal services beyond our scope.

Our services are educational, procedural, and negotiation-based — and are offered within the limits of Section 36 of the Advocates Act and the Bar Council of India rules on legal-service advertising.

4. Results are not guaranteed

Every debt resolution case is unique. Final settlement amounts, timelines, and outcomes depend on factors outside SettleKaro's control, including:

  • Your lender's internal policy and discretion.
  • Age and category of the debt.
  • Your verifiable repayment capacity and supporting documents.
  • The regulatory framework applicable to your loan type.
  • External legal processes already underway.

Any case studies, success stories, settlement percentages, or testimonials on our website or marketing materials represent individual outcomes. They are not a guarantee, projection, or representation of what your case will achieve. Past results do not guarantee future results.

5. We act in your interest — but you stay in control

Every settlement offer we negotiate is presented to you for explicit approval. We never accept a settlement on your behalf without your written consent. Every payment you make goes directly to the lender or escrow channel that you approve — never to a SettleKaro individual's personal account.

6. Credit-score impact

Debt settlement typically results in your account being reported as "settled" (rather than "closed") to credit bureaus. This generally has a negative impact on your credit score, and the "settled" status may remain on your credit report for up to 7 years. We discuss this impact with every client before recommending a settlement strategy. If preserving a clean credit history is your top priority, settlement may not be the right path.

7. No impersonation

SettleKaro does not impersonate the Reserve Bank of India, any bank, any government agency, or any law-enforcement authority — and we never will. We do not use threats of arrest, fake legal-notice templates, or pressure tactics against lenders or borrowers. Anyone claiming to be from SettleKaro who uses such tactics is committing fraud.

8. Loan-type scope

We help with unsecured personal debt only — credit cards, personal loans, app loans, BNPL, and unsecured business loans. We do not help with secured loans (home loans, car loans, gold loans, loans against property, or business loans backed by collateral) — these have different legal frameworks and risks (e.g. SARFAESI proceedings) that need specialised handling.

9. External links

Our website may link to third-party websites (e.g. RBI, government portals, advocate websites). SettleKaro is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site, and a link does not imply endorsement.

10. Stay safe online

All legitimate communication from SettleKaro will originate from an @settlekaro.in email address or our official phone numbers. We will never ask for:

  • Your full Aadhaar/PAN over an unsolicited call.
  • OTPs, internet banking passwords, or UPI PINs.
  • Payment to any individual's personal bank account or UPI ID.

If you receive a suspicious communication claiming to be from SettleKaro, please verify by calling our official number or writing to support@settlekaro.in before acting on it.

11. Errors and updates

We strive for accuracy on our website and in our communications. However, the legal, regulatory, and financial landscape changes frequently. If you spot an error or outdated information, please tell us at support@settlekaro.in and we'll correct it promptly.
