Refund policy

Clear, plain-language conditions for our onboarding and service fees. We start with a free call so you have all the information before committing.

Last updated: 24 May 2026 · v2.0

Plain English: Onboarding fees and SettleKaro service fees are non-refundable. This is why we always start with a free 15-minute call — so you have all the information before you decide to onboard.

1. Free pre-engagement call

Before any payment is collected, you receive a free 15-minute consultation by phone or WhatsApp. During this call we:

  • Listen to your situation in detail.
  • Explain exactly what SettleKaro can and cannot do for you.
  • Walk you through the realistic outcomes and the timeline.
  • Explain the onboarding tier that applies to your outstanding.
  • Explain how the 4% + 3% service fee structure works.

You only proceed to onboarding if you agree, in writing or via a recorded confirmation, that you wish to engage SettleKaro.

2. Onboarding fees — non-refundable

Once paid, the onboarding fee (₹499 / ₹999 / ₹1,499 + GST as per your tier) is non-refundable at any cost. This fee covers your initial case setup, RBI rights brief, collection-call support kit, and entry into our case management system — all of which begin immediately on payment.

3. SettleKaro service fees — non-refundable

The service fee (7% + GST of total outstanding, split as 4% in month 1 + 3% in month 2) is non-refundable:

  • The 4% installment is paid within 1 month of enrollment. Once received, we forward your case to your lender and active negotiation begins.
  • The 3% installment is paid within 2 months of enrollment. We deliver a verified settlement letter and verify it for you before you pay the lender.

Because each installment triggers active, documented work on your case, no portion of the service fee is refundable, partially or fully.

4. What you are NOT charged for if we cannot help

If, during the free consultation, we determine that SettleKaro is not the right service for your situation, you pay nothing. We will:

  • Explain clearly why we cannot help.
  • Where possible, suggest alternatives (e.g. direct lender restructuring programs, government schemes).
  • Not retain any of your information beyond what's required to log the consultation.

5. Settlement amount paid to lender

The negotiated settlement amount you pay to your lender (typically 30–60% of outstanding) is paid directly to the lender, never to SettleKaro. We have no role in that money. We verify the settlement letter before you pay, so you have certainty that the offer is genuine.

6. Third-party costs

Any third-party costs (for example, courier fees, government filing fees, or advocate retainers if your case requires a qualified advocate outside SettleKaro's scope) are billed by the relevant third party directly and are refundable only under their own terms.

7. Disputes

If you believe a fee was charged in error (for example, duplicate payment), please write to support@settlekaro.in within 7 days of the charge. Bona-fide errors will be corrected promptly. For unresolved concerns, escalate to our Grievance Officer at grievance@settlekaro.in.

8. Updates

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Your existing engagement remains governed by the policy version in effect at the time of your enrollment.
